'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is presently halfway through the four-year agreement he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the first significant honor of his notable career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly contemplate lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
